That said, we know we may hit some cold mornings and someone suggested a portable propane heater for those cold mornings and evenings. While doing some searching I think I may have found the perfect one. Not inexpensive but the size is right and the reviews are good. What do you think?
A little more investigation and I found another model, a little cheaper.
Looks like some good alternatives out there!

I think a heater in a tent is a scary proposition. Add a puppy to that and it's even more so. But if you must, the second one looks a LITTLE more stable than the first. Could you find one that hangs from the rafters instead of standing on the floor?
ReplyDeleteFortunately safety standards call for them to turn off when tipped over. Plus it would not be used unattended. Just got to use common sense.
ReplyDeleteI have a SportCat in my conversion van. It works great. I only operate it when I am awake, as sleeping with one going is a bit dangerous. I also insure plenty of ventilation. As long as you are attentive, it should be safe enough in a tent. The fuel canisters go on sale often, and you can get quite a bit of heat out of each canister.
