What are the #2doods up to?

Tuesday, June 11, 2019

For anyone needing a little Cooper & Murphy fix...here you go!

First - a little then and now...from puppy to recent. Quite a difference, I can barely remember when either of them were that small!

The only jealousy they have is when one gets attention, then the other needs it as well.

They do love their daddy!

There is no food aggression here (or toy). They love sharing a bowl with yogurt remains...both tongues, lapping away. Same with the yogurt container, no matter how small it is.

They are enjoying the magnetic screen door we installed (the old one was trash). But sometimes they can't make up their mind - in or out?

There's nothing better than comfortable temps and relaxing on the deck with us...

But when they can't go outside...

It's always fun to play inside...

My Random Musings

A look back...WAY back...

Saturday, June 8, 2019

I spend a lot of time on Facebook (I know, too much time some days). But it can be interesting and for me, it's a great way to keep in touch with family and friends who live far away (which is the majority).

Today one of my stepdaughters posted a challenge to share a current photo beside one taken 20-30 years. I took her up on it and this is what I posted.

What do you think? The early one was when I was wearing contacts and had naturally wavy hair. I  was in the 110-115# range. My career in IT was just starting and I was on marriage #2 with no hint of a #3 (or the widowhood that would lead me to #4).

Anyone up to the challenge on their blog? Post a link in the comments - if you dare!

Spring arrived...again!

Wednesday, June 5, 2019

After moving from a week of spring into mid-summer temps, it looks like spring came back and we are all happy about that! We even had one day where we could leave the back door open and use the magnetic screen for the #2doods. I sat outside on the deck all day, even brought my computer out!

Stu couldn't resist doing a little yard work while I enjoyed the shade.

I finally put up our hummingbird feeders and in less than twenty minutes, had our first visitor.

After a day outside, this is what the #2doods looked like!

Saturday was a picture perfect day for a motorcycle ride and our local volunteer fire department was having a benefit ride so we joined in the fun. The bike had been in the RV until last week and this was our first time out since Georgia. The ride was about 90 minutes over 75 or so miles, then we came back to a nicely prepared lunch. One of the department's fire trucks led us up US 127 until we turned off, nice escort! It was a beautiful ride, a lot of twisties, hills, great scenery. I did my best to recreate it on Google Maps based upon the maps in Life360 app on our phones.

This was about half the number of bikes we ended up riding with...

We headed back home without waiting for the door prize drawings since the #2doods had been crated for four hours at that point. It was a great day and benefited a good cause.

The rest of the week has been spent organizing - yes, I'm still sorting through clothes as well as stuff that has been stored in our guest room closet. I pulled out old tax stuff from 2001 to 2009 to be discarded properly, that was a ton of paperwork!

Stu tackled the garage, moving a lot of things that will go in the pole barn eventually and storing them in our cargo trailer. That freed up a lot of space and he finally got to set up the two lockers we bought at Sam's Club to store our motorcycle gear. They worked perfectly! We now have so much more room overall in the garage. He did a great job!

We have rain in the forecast for the next 5-7 days so I hope to finish with the clothes organization. Then I will sort out the items I plan to sell on eBay or Facebook Marketplace, the rest being donated. Such fun...LOL!
