Sadie is doing pretty well on day one after getting spayed. She slept well and has been potty a couple of times. She is only eating treats and still hasn't really drank anything. Hoping that will improve as the day goes on. She's definitely big on the 'nuggling...
No long walks, definitely no bicycle rides...we're hoping the pain meds will keep her slowed down enough. If the weather clears in the next couple of days, we'll take her on some motorcycle rides.
Our Norcold recall was finally done today as well as the installation of the new kitchen slide topper. ProTech RV has been good to work with and all the technicians have been extremely helpful and professional. We have no complaints and would recommend them to anyone.
Today I'll catch up on laundry and emails (got a 2 month backlog again...sigh...). I had thought to do some filing but think that will be tomorrow when it's supposed to rain again. The other thing we hope to do is get me some parking lot practice with the truck...for me. Gulp....
Oh, and before I forget...check out this blog...Sadie's going to be famous!
Till next time - keep on rollin',

Our Sadie had her's done last week , she moped for about 3 days and then her appetite came back and she wanted to run but since that was still a no-no we kept her on our laps or in the little cage. Rigg's is really being good about watching his little sister it's like he knows she has to be still. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
ReplyDeleteDonna, you don't want her to get dehydrated, that's an expensive vet bill! Put some chicken broth in her water, that usually helps.
ReplyDeletegood wishes to Sadie! Things look awfully comfy on that sofa, there, Donna!
ReplyDeleteThat particular surgery is certainly easier for animals than humans...I agree with Sandra...the water is more important than the food....I'm sure she will do well...
ReplyDeleteSending best wishes to Sadie on a speedy recovery. I know you can't keep a Girl like her down for long. Y'all take Care, Karen
ReplyDeleteThat Sadie looks like one lucky dog! And you look pretty comfortable too, being her *nurse*.

Don't worry about the appetite. it will come back, and she will be no worse for the lack of food for a short time. That's easy for me to say, since it isn't me and my baby! No, seriously, you'll be surprised how quickly she bounces back.
ReplyDeleteThe Furry Fab Five send her their love and get well wishes!! :)
Oh, I send mine to her, also!
ReplyDeleteSadie will be ready to romp around in the next day or so-and that sketch of her is great!
ReplyDeleteSadie looks like she is glad to be home and back with Mom and Dad. As to being famous, she is certainly "cute enough" if I can just do her justice! I am enjoying painting her!
