We've had two great days at Leesburg Bike Fest.... We headed out early on Friday, dropping Sadie off at doggie camp for a couple of days. The heat on Thursday had about done her in and it was going to be much hotter over the long weekend.
We stopped for breakfast at Bob Evans and then headed to downtown Leesburg for the day. Main Street was already lined with bikes at 10 am but we found parking at the far end of the street. We ended up parking right in front of Fuzzy's Pinstriping.
When Stu decided to get the Mustang Seats on Thursday, he pretty much decided to forgo the custom paint for his bike. Parking where we did, he decided to talk to Fuzzy and check again on the price. Things must have been slow, the estimate was $100 lower than during Daytona Bike Week. So he made an appointment for 8 am on Saturday.
For the rest of the day we wandered vendors, listened to music, picked up a few odds and ends, looked at bikes, talked to vendors, listened to chit-chat from bikers, ate and drank, looked at more bikes, walked into any air conditioned stores we could find...I think you get the picture.
There is something for everyone and everyone (locals) make you feel at home. Here are some photos...the big rig trucks were there for Friday's Big Rig Show.
Early today it was time for Stu to get his bike done. The crowds were much bigger today, as expected. Any convenient parking was much scarcer, good thing for an early arrival! Here are some pics of the bike getting prepped and the end result. He's really happy!
We are still deciding if we will head in early tomorrow so I can get a new seat made for my bike. We'll see how we feel when we wake up. LOL! We'll pick Sadie up around 2-3 pm, she will be tired and happy!
Till next time - keep on rollin',
