We've been in Mission for a couple of days now. As I posted last time, the folks are very friendly and we're enjoyed meeting them. Yesterday we attended a late afternoon Happy Hour followed by a burn your own potluck dinner. One of the attendees posted a couple of photos on her blog. We had a really good time, met more folks and overstuffed ourselves (so much for my diet...LOL!) I don't remember most of the names...I'm beginning to think we should have them tattooed on our foreheads for when we get older.... ;-)
It was cool this morning, low 50's, but supposed to get up to low 80's. They have water aerobics at the outdoor pool here, might try it today but we have to find the beach towels first. They're packed away SOMEwhere....
I haven't been out on the bike here as yet, Stu made a Wally World run yesterday in preparation for the potluck (he made his Broccoli Cheese Salad). The day before we did do a lot of errands hitting Home Depot, Academy Sports (both got new athletic shoes), Barnes & Noble (had a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket), Camping World (they can't do our service work but gave Stu the info on a place that might be able to), H.E.B. (grocery store chain) and probably something else that I've already forgotten. On the way home we stopped and filled up with diesel at $2.14(9).
We watched the Ravens lose to the Steelers yesterday, now we'll be cheering the Steelers on in the Super Bowl.
Not much else is new...doing the usual routine stuff, cleaning - laundry - watching TV - reading. LOL! The club house here has an amazing library so I'm hoping to get rid of some of my backlog of books. We picked up three hardbacks at Barnes & Noble (priced lower than a new paperback) and hopefully we can leave one or two here.
Well, off the search for the towels, get the outside chairs set up and relax...or go for a ride. Whatever! Life is good....
Till next time - keep on rollin',
Donna & Stu

I'm so glad that you are enjoying your time there! Relax, and enjoy each other!
ReplyDeleteHmm, so your low was in the 50s. Ours was in the 20s and it may get up to 40 today but I'll not bet on it. I do miss going south for the winter.
ReplyDeleteI'm having some computer fun & games but hope that today the UPS guy will arrive with a new full copy of Windows Vista that will solve my problem. Right now I'm limited to just the laptop as the desktop has the infamous blue screen syndrome. Now don't tell me to just go buy a Mac.
