Moving on south...

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Well, we decided we had enough fun in the below freezing nighttime temps so we headed south this morning. Sunny day, nicest weather in a while...uneventful trip. We only hit two Harley-Davidson dealers...a fairly new one in Kingwood, TX (just outside Houston) and an older one in Victoria, TX. I snapped a couple shots of the new one and forgot to of the older one (which we really liked).

We stopped for lunch in the HUGE parking lot at the Kingwood dealer...could have easily spent the night there but it was only 2:00 when we headed on down the road. The long, quiet, FLAT road...LOL!

We are now in Victoria, TX for the night...Stu says it's a triple play. We've got a Wal-Mart, Sam's Club AND Tractor Supply, all side by side. We picked up a few things at both Sam's & Wal-Mart and will hit Tractor Supply in the morning. Here's shot of the sunset as we walked back to the rig (taken with my iPhone) as well as the one of the local fire trucks stopped for some Sam's Club shopping. LOL!

Oh, and here is a fun shot of our GPS that we took before resetting the trip..can you spot the anomoly here? LOL!

Till next time - keep on rollin',
Donna & Stu

  3. Sadly our local Harley dealer (who always survived on a very small margin) folded in the wake of the "new economy." I guess Harley dealers didn't get any bail out money.

That's kind of funny. I work in a jail, and most of our Harley riders get bail out money!

    Apparently not the same thing.
