Oops, I did it again.....

I got adopted this week by that little cuss you see in the photo (that was his application photo....who wouldn't want to be adopted by that face?).

Seriously, I saw this photo in a local trader ad and couldn't say no. He's about 8 months old, a Chihuahua-Schnauzer mix (Chi-zer? Schnau-hua?), housebroken, a real cuddler who is shy around everyone except for kids and other animals, and may have been abused by a male (he's gone to work with me all week and every time he hears a man's voice he growls.....).

We had our first vet visit today, passed all his blood tests, got his shots & meds and is scheduled for the BIG SNIP on the 27th.

His name is Bo but for the most part I call him BoBo.

You might notice that the blog page theme has changed. Hope everyone likes it...decided to lighten it up a little.

  3. Bobo will be a great companion for you while on the road. Be sure to keep a full file of all his medical records, especially the shots. And take it with you. Oh wait, you will be a fulltimer so of course you will have it with you!

Too bad the HR didn't work out but if you are uncomfortable with it, you are wise to pass on buying it. There are hundreds of used RVs available and one will be just right for you.

There are quite a few solar places at Q. At least one Escapee does them & I think they are often there with the Boomers. I am kind of partial to Greg Holder who teaches those classes at Life on Wheels. His company is in Eugene, OR and of course Oregon does have the advantage of being a no sales tax state. They installed my previous system on the Sea Breeze.

I kept the solar panels from it as the dealer told me there was no extra value added at trade in for them. I paid $515 each for the three & may only use two on my new class C but they will find a home. I hope we can go to Eugene in late Sep, after the weather cools down, then over to the Oregon Coast to work our way back north to home. Solar will work on class C rigs.

  4. Ya big softie! Glad you decided to adopt a pooch, he's a little cutie & should add to that "safe" feeling in the RV parks.
Sorry the RV didn't work out, but I have faith you'll find something pretty soon. Call me if ya need a ride anywhere or want hunting company again.
