It's a 1999 Fleetwood Tioga, 26', has the Ford V-10 Triton engine and is on the Ford F-450 chassis which gives me over 2800# of carry capacity and 5000# of tow capacity. It has new Pergo floors, new tires and batteries, hydraulic levelers, ducted air, generator, backup camera, two awnings, Banks exhaust system and about 57k miles on it.

Now I get to sell my car, call Enterprise and drive down to FL pick it up. I will spend a couple days in a neighboring campground and they will fix anything that comes up during that first outing.

If this link works, you should be able to see photos of it.

Till next time - keep on rollin',

  2. Donna, that's great! We have a Tioga Montara by Fleetwood, 27' as well. (Well, we have one but we have yet to camp in it - too much motorcycling! LOL) Enjoy yours - looks great! Love your idea of camping nearby for a shakedown cruise.

  5. That sounds and looks good! Ours has the same chassis & engine. I've only got 800 miles on it but like it very much so far. I think this size will work very well for you and the trailer for the bike shouldn't be even noticeable while driving. I am getting 8mpg but will be interested to hear what you get. I know the exhaust headers added about 3/4mpg when I put them on my Sea Breeze. What size batteries do you have?

Mine, like yours, has no window in the front of the part above the cab. I think it is an area that would be hard to keep from leaking, what with the rain being driven against it by your forward speed. With entertainment centers up there you sure don't need a window in that location.

Like others have said, I'll be interested to hear how your first outing goes. Congratulations!

  6. Congrats Mom! That looks very nice...roomy enough, yet easier to manage than many of the "monsters" out there.

Ya gotta get that cassette stereo wired to accept input from your iPod. ;-) You can buy those cassette adapter things but the sound quality is miserable.

Anyway, I'm pretty confident I have a place or two you can park it nearby should you end up swinging through Cincy. Just give me a couple days heads up.

    Love ya!
