Being a septuagenerian, I've decided to let loose a bit. I actually started in the second half of my sixties and now I'm really breaking out. LOL!
My first "outside my comfort zone" was on our cruise in January 2017. My weight was down and I found a couple pairs of leggings, on Amazon from ViV Collection, that I really liked. Here is one of the pair as I get ready for dinner that night. I love the look and the bright colors.
They work at home as well, comfortable as all get out and not overly warm, thus the flip-flops.
Cooler weather set in and I found these heavier weight leggings at Wally World. They kept me deliciously warm and toast while still comfortable all winter long.
Spring finally arrived and it was time to get some capris. I fell in love with these pastel skulls I found at Wally World online. I just love them, even if I would never wear them outside the house. LOL!
Has your clothing style changed as you've aged? Are you less formal? More comfortable? Brighter or drabber?
Oh, btw, I love colorful socks, too! The fun ones from Blue-Q are my favorites! When I get compliments on certain ones, I have to take a shoe off and show them the rest of the sock. LOL!
Ciao for now!
What fun! Will send the link for the legging company to my Mom. She lives in sweats and these are so much more adorable!
ReplyDeleteMy style has evolved slightly-I find myself gravitating towards more timeless, retro styles ala Lauren Bacall in the 40’s. But I have always loved and worn color.
And gurl! Wear those skulls outside!! Lol!
I love the Viv because they have a brushed feel (so soft) and are reasonably priced! Plus, they don't bag out like cheap ones (the cute skulls from Wally World are pretty thin but great for home, one reason I won't wear them outside..lol)
DeleteA local shop here in town carries the Blue-Q socks, I wear and give as gifts. Love them! Leggings are my new uniform, inside and out (in cool weather). Still wearing my blue jeans, too, though - if I live to 100, I'll be wearing them then!
ReplyDeleteI think I have worn jeans 2 or 3 times all winter. Too housebound here in the country...LOL! I am in love with leggings but hard to find tops I like that cover the booty unless they are big all over.
DeleteMy clothing has changed - I prefer more loose and flowy clothes. Rarely wear jeans anymore. I dress for comfort now and not the latest style.
ReplyDeleteSame here...jeans are for when 1) it's cold and I have to leave the house or 2) when riding on the motorcycle. I definitely dress for comfort and not style! Welcome to the blog!
DeleteOh my...... maybe if I lost the 40 extra pounds (again) I would try something snappy. Until then......
ReplyDeleteWe are both doing so well on the lo carb diet plan - lots of meats, veggies and cheese. Stu is down almost 30# and I'm down almost 19# in three months. We both want to lose another 10# before considering maintenance mode.
