Day Four: Juneau, AK

Thursday, June 10, 2010

We dock in Juneau, AK around 8 AM and don't leave until 10 PM. We have only booked one excursion, leaving us plenty of time for personal sightseeing.
Enjoy wild Alaska salmon barbecued over an open alderwood fire at a feast for all your senses.

SALMON BAKE MEAL
After a short, scenic bus ride you arrive at Salmon Creek, the outdoor site for your salmon bake. Savor all-you-can-eat wild Alaska salmon, chicken, pasta, baked beans, salads, corn bread and dessert. Enjoy musical entertainment while you dine under translucent domes protecting you from the elements. After your meal, stroll through the woods or roast marshmallows over the campfire. Take the short walk to Salmon Falls to pan for gold, view spawning salmon (in season) and the remains of the historic Wagner Mine. Buses depart regularly to the pier so you may return at your leisure.
Till next time - keep on rollin',
