Home again, Home again!

Just a short update with a few pics. We had an uneventful trip home even with Stu temporarily losing the GPS for the RV routing. He used his phone and we took back roads all the way from Folkston to I-16 (to Macon, GA). It was a beautiful drive with no issues with the rig size.

It was a first for the #2doods, they got to sleep outside their crates and were quite good. Stu noticed they were less hyper in the morning when he got up so we will try it again when we get home, leaving their crate doors open.

We spent the night in the Flying J parking lot, enjoying a Denny's breakfast, and I snapped a couple of cute pics.

We made it home in good time, got the rig parked, pulled Scooby out so the car could be parked, turned on the water (forgetting the outside faucets were turned on - something to add to next fall's list), turned on the breakers, and fired up the refrigerator. We brought in enough to make it till morning and crashed by 10pm (very early for us).



We were surprised at how green everything way and how much was already blooming/growing (including weeds and lawn). So on Friday Stu mowed the lawns and did some trimming while I moved the food (refrigerated & otherwise), did most of the laundry from the RV (still need to strip the bed but there is no rush), moved all the bathroom and most of the office items. There is still a lot to do but most of it can now be done as time allows. The power is on and the A/C is running so no rush.

The #2doods settled back in, racing around the back yard to be sure nothing had changed, and standing guard at the front door.

By now you know how much fun we have with Cooper and Murphy. They are fun to watch play and even fun to watch when they sleep (in their many strange positions). Here are a few favorites from this month as well as a couple of photos with bonus friend, Yuki, who was a bit overwhelmed at first..

Everyone thinks these two are SO GOOD thanks to photos like these...Naw, they just know they have to wait for their treats. LOL!








Although they do know better than to charge out doors...

They're moving on up!

Yes, I sang the blog title as I typed it....

It's the #2Doods - they've moved up to two separate XL (42") crates. While they can and do sleep in one, it's getting crowded and they both have to stay curled. So today Stu moved the power outlet up higher so the second crate would fit in that corner. Our foyer tables and a few knick-knacks were moved.

Needless to say, even the chaos of no crate bothers them...

And they're in!!

You can see why they each need their own. It will be interesting to see how they do at bedtime.

Nice afternoons....

The temperature has moderated a bit and we have been sitting out on the deck in the late afternoons. I love listening to the sounds - my chimes, the big bullfrog in our pond, the neighbor's mule, and the hummingbirds (both the beating of their wings and the chirping at each other as they try to guard 'their' territory).

We now have four feeders out and have seen at least 5-6 hummingbirds at one time. Because of the placement of both our chairs and the feeders as well as the green background of leaves, it's hard to get a decent photo. You'll need to click for a larger photo and zoom in on some of these, but it's what I could grab.

The #2Doods are loving the cooler temps - today's high was only around 82 degrees. They are staying outdoors, lazing in the shade of the big tree in our backyard, scratching up a cool spot in their "sand box" or racing around chasing each other.
