After moving from a week of spring into mid-summer temps, it looks like spring came back and we are all happy about that! We even had one day where we could leave the back door open and use the magnetic screen for the #2doods. I sat outside on the deck all day, even brought my computer out!
Stu couldn't resist doing a little yard work while I enjoyed the shade.
I finally put up our hummingbird feeders and in less than twenty minutes, had our first visitor.
After a day outside, this is what the #2doods looked like!
Saturday was a picture perfect day for a motorcycle ride and our local volunteer fire department was having a benefit ride so we joined in the fun. The bike had been in the RV until last week and this was our first time out since Georgia. The ride was about 90 minutes over 75 or so miles, then we came back to a nicely prepared lunch. One of the department's fire trucks led us up US 127 until we turned off, nice escort! It was a beautiful ride, a lot of twisties, hills, great scenery. I did my best to recreate it on Google Maps based upon the maps in Life360 app on our phones.
This was about half the number of bikes we ended up riding with...
We headed back home without waiting for the door prize drawings since the #2doods had been crated for four hours at that point. It was a great day and benefited a good cause.
The rest of the week has been spent organizing - yes, I'm still sorting through clothes as well as stuff that has been stored in our guest room closet. I pulled out old tax stuff from 2001 to 2009 to be discarded properly, that was a ton of paperwork!
Stu tackled the garage, moving a lot of things that will go in the pole barn eventually and storing them in our cargo trailer. That freed up a lot of space and he finally got to set up the two lockers we bought at Sam's Club to store our motorcycle gear. They worked perfectly! We now have so much more room overall in the garage. He did a great job!
We have rain in the forecast for the next 5-7 days so I hope to finish with the clothes organization. Then I will sort out the items I plan to sell on eBay or Facebook Marketplace, the rest being donated. Such fun...LOL!
Ciao for now!

Looks like a good mix of indoor and outdoor, work and play, home and community. Doesn't really get much better than that. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right!
DeleteSo much stuff to go once you get onto it...amazing. The ride looks fun #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteThe ride was amazing....and I'm SOOOO happy that hubby deals with the yard work!
DeleteWhat a lovely outing with the other bikers Donna - I love a ride when the weather is perfect and it looks like you had a great day for it. Good on you for all the tidying and clearing out that you're doing. I try to stay on top of our stuff so I don't have to do any big overhauls, but I know it still gradually builds up over time - I guess one day when we move it will be time to do a big cull again.
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you back at #MLSTL and I've shared on my SM :)
Hi Leanne, I still have to organize what is worth trying to sell and what will be donated but I've done nothing but write (and go see 'Rocketman') the past week. Hubby just took a long ride on the bike while I made some of our favorite low carb treats. LOL!
DeleteIf only we could have spring every season! Dogs look like they're enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, they love it when the temps are good for them to use the magnetic screen door. Otherwise we are constantly letting them in and out unless we sit out on the deck with them.
DeleteSo much accomplished along with some fun and play! Spring brings renewed energy and motivation to get things in order and enjoy being outdoors!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbie. Appreciate the stop by. The last two days have been perfect weather but I've been busy writing. Sniff...
DeleteSounds like spring came back so you could do some spring cleaning! And I love the picture of the dogs on the porch and in the living room. It must have taken so much energy for them to move from one place to the next! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's the #2doods! LOL! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHi Donna isn't it wonderful to enjoy the outdoors? Also good for you with the tidying and clearing out. You would be the star of my #JunkFreeInJune challenge. Thanks for sharing at #MLSTL and have a great week. x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, good to see you again. I've watched your #JunkFreeInJune posts on FB but haven't really delved into them. Working hard to get ready to spend July writing, writing, writing!
DeleteHi Donna, this was great to read and to hear of your ongoing plans for spring. We're into winter here and I envy you your spring weather :) Good work on the sorting out of things, it seems there's always something needs doing! #mlstl
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Ecuador the seasons were reversed for us, too, but since the 'winter' months only meant average temps in the mid-upper 60s, we were okay with that. Thanks for stopping by!!
