My Vista Repair

Friday, October 3, 2008

Just a quick Vista was unrepairable and I had to reinstall it which means my hard drive was wiped out. So, now I will be using my spare time to reload all my software and try to get back to some semblance of normality. Yeah, right....LOL! The laptop may still have a hardware issue but I won't know until I use it for a while.

I had backed up everything but still managed to lose a lot of my everything I've ever received under my Froggi Donna email address is gone...kaput...disappeared. Because I started with Gmail in the early days, I had it set to delete my email from the webmail page. Needless to say, it has been changed to archive it instead.

So, if you emailed me in the last week or so and were expecting a reply....try resending (if you can) or writing a new message. It may be a bit before I have time to reply, but without a message I have nothing to reply TO. Sigh....

Till next time - keep on rollin',

  1. What can I say but "Get a Mac". But, more importantly, get a backup drive and do backups at least once a week!

  2. I completely agree with jcw3rd on both accounts. Although, I spent the past two days erasing and reinstalling Leopard and adding back all my software on my iMac, only some of which was backed up. (Sigh) Must be something in the air.

  3. Hi Donna, just checking in and wanted to say how exciting to start a "new" blog for the "new" chapter in your life. I wish you and Stu the best. I've added your blog on the radar...

Also, good luck with the computer stuff. I have absolutely no patience for them. That's the other halfs job, lol.

  4. Donna, sorry about your computer! That's no fun at all.

Isn't the Renaissance Faire fun? We've been a couple of times, years ago. We've also been to Medieval Times, a restaurant where you eat with your hands and watch jousting contests in an arena in the middle. Whee!
