Still not far enough south...

Thanks for all the well wishes for Stu...he really appreciates it. Also, thanks for all the comments on Moore Haven. We're headed there for two reasons, to get warm and to save money. The rate was right (best we've ever had) and the temperatures are definitely warmer than where we normally stay. Being in the boonies is okay by us...we avoid cities as much as possible. LOL! It will be virgin motorcycle territory for us, too.

We're stopped for the night in Ocala FL at Motor Inns Motel and RV Park after an uneventful day. We did stop at Sam's Club in Valdosta, GA to stock up on fruits, veggies, nuts and ground turkey. A few more miles down the road and we stopped at an RV dealer to pick up the parts needed to repair our electrical cord.

This park is fine for an overnight or two and good for us because first, it was a Passport American park (50% off) and second, we got to order PIZZA!!! Once we hit Moore Haven, we'll be in the boonies and won't be ordering out. LOL!

Now that I have a good sized end table (Sadie's new crate), I wanted to pick up a small Christmas Tree. I looked at some really nice ones on Etsy and eBay but I knew they wouldn't travel well. Then I found exactly what I want:

It stuffed and will pack and travel wonderfully. I used to have a great stuffed pumpkin that I used in the fall...decided to see if I could find another one and then that lead to looking for something for Easter time. Should be fun to search...

Moving south again...

We left Jamestown, TN by 10:30 on Friday morning. That's an early start for us...LOL! It was cold but it was going to get a LOT colder, with a chance of snow. Definitely time to leave...

We had an easy day of driving, we were only going to Carterville, GA where the KOA there awaited us. This is the third time we've stayed at this park. We rarely stay at KOAs due to the cost but this one is convenient to family in the north part of Atlanta.

We got settled in and then headed out to Kani House in Woodstock for dinner with my youngest daughter, her husband and kids. Stu was feeling a little iffy, but nothing serious. We had a nice dinner, enjoyed the grandkids and headed back to the rig.

Stu had a bit of a tummy ache that had been going off and on for a couple of days. Stu felt worse and headed to bed by 10:00. I stayed up for a couple more hours. By 2:30 am we were heading to the ER at Northside Hospital. The stomach pain had gotten worse to the point that he felt it needed to be checked out.

Northside Hospital ER impressed us both...they took him right in and it was another 20 minutes before anyone took registration information (other than basic ID stuff needed initially). Long story short, he was sent home with two prescriptions and told to come back if the the pain worsened or if he didn't feel better within 48 hours. The blood work and xrays showed nothing so the doctor suspected it was a general GI thing...the stuff that goes around this time of year.

We had planned to leave on Sunday after breakfast with my daughter...based upon Stu's not feeling well, we extended till Monday. Saturday was a veg day...I had less than two hours sleep and Stu made up for both of us. LOL! Sunday we went out to dinner with my daughter, rather than breakfast. Stu was feeling much better, fortunately.

We got packed up this morning and hit the road well before noon. We planned a short day, hoping to make Unadilla, GA for the night. We stopped at Camping World in Byron, GA and ordered a replacement microwave dish as well as picking up a few other items.

We're at Southern Trails Resort in Unadilla. We've stayed here a couple of times, discounted rate for Escapees. With the weather being so cold, forecast for low 20's even as far south as central FL, we decided to look for an RV park further south than Bushnell, our original destination.

We found another park under new management...as Maple Hill RV Campground was, back in Jamestown, TN. The park used to be Robin's Nest but now is called M RV Resort. It's in Moore Haven, FL and the temperatures are running 10 degrees warmer night and day compared to Bushnell.

I've never stayed around this area...close to Lake Okeechobee...it should be interesting. Factor in a rate of under $6 a day (plus taxes & electric), and it should be fun! Totally different riding area for us, too.

Tomorrow we have to stop and pick up some parts to repair our electric cord and then we plan to stay around Ocala, FL for the night. We should arrive in Moore Haven on Wednesday. I can't wait to get a haircut and Sadie needs her final shots, including Rabies. Stu has a long list of little maintenance type things to tackle and I have a long list of books I want to tackle. LOL!

So nothing really exciting...Stu feels 100% better and that's the best news I can pass along!

For all my new friends....

When I asked mommy for my own blog, daddy laughed and said no one would read it except him and mommy. WRONG!!! I've made so many new friends here. I just wanted to say hi and thank you to them.

Skittlez and Scooter are those funny little "hot dog" dogs. I can't wait to meet them and play with them. I know I'll need to be careful with their short little legs but I know they'll run right under me cause I'll be all grown up when I do meet them.

Melanie, Phoebe and Miss Muggles belong to a cousin of my mommy. I'll be meeting them this winter. I think Melanie is a cat and Phoebe and Miss Muggles are cute little white Pomeranians. The should be fun to play with....I really like kitties.

Misty lives in Texas with her mommy. She is a poodle...I've never seen one of them so that should be fun. I think she has a kitty, too, but not sure. Misty was rescued...that is a GOOD thing. I hope everyone will think about rescuing their next friend. Misty and her mommy foster cats and dogs. Right now they have Paco, a Chihuahua, and 2 kitties. Isn't that the best!

Harley and Amie live with my mommy's daughter in Colorado (brrrrrr, it's COLD there). Harley is a Rat Terrier and Amie is a cat. I'll see them some time next year when we travel to the west...where I've never been. Mommy and daddy love the west they say.

Maddie and Molly are little Yorkies....I know I will have fun with them. Mommy has had Yorkies before and know how friendly and fun loving they are. I thought I'd meet them before we headed south but guess it will have to wait till next summer. They won't be any bigger then but I will! LOL!

Max and Shatzie live in Georgia. We were supposed to meet them this week but then my daddy got sick (I think he just ate too much turkey). But they think they will be coming to Florida this winter so I'll meet them then! They're "hot dog" dogs, too...I wonder if they know Skittlez and Scooter?

Pepper Anne is a friend of mommy's. They met when Pepper Anne's dog, Surely Not, was alive. I saw a picture of Surely...I would have liked to meet her. I think she had a lot of stories to tell me.

Remi is a Havanese...I think that's a dog...kind of looks like a rag mop. I think we'd have fun running around together. I don't know where she lives (I think she's a she, but could be a he...LOL!). Remi is going to be a motorcycle riding dog, too!!

Angel wants to be a motorcycle mama but her mommy and daddy haven't figured out a way to carry her. I hope they can...it's AWESOME!!!

Kathleen is a another friend of mommy's. I don't know if she's ever had a dog but I think she needs one for her NEW life!

Bailey and Neal live in an RV, too. They are rescued Scotty dogs...mommy and daddy are Scotties so I know I would like Bailey and Neal! I know I would like Dale and Terry cause they rescued Baily and Neal.

Trip and Baxter don't write too often, I think they're too busy playing. They have a kitty in the house, too. Trip looks like a long-haired Chihuahua and Baxter looks like me, a Boxer mix. I don't know when I will meet them but I know we'll have FUN!.

Fred is a Beagle, at least I think he is. He's a funny dog and his daddy is a retired firefighter, too! We'll meet once everyone figures out here they're going to be when!

Katie is a little Chihuahua but I'll bet she will be the boss when we meet! They like to be the boss...and I bet I'll let her. LOL! She travels with her mommy in an RV, too. She knows how great a life it is...hmmm, wonder if her walls move?

Koko was one of my first friends (I think Misty was the very first). I'm trying to figure how what kind of dog Misty is...maybe a poodle or poodle mix? She's an RV dog. too. Isn't it fun to find out how many of us live in RVs?

I hope everyone keeps reading and tells their friends...that way I make MORE friends!! I can't wait to meet you all....wanna play?
