Moving slowly.....

We'll be on our way to Georgia and then Florida by Friday...the cold, wet, windy weather has slowed us down. Why travel in bad weather if we don't have to? LOL!

Not sure what is up with Stu...he's actually finding Christmas movies for me to watch...LOL! I'm not complaining...I love watching schmaltzy movies this time of year. Then of course there is my annual favorite, The Christmas Story.

We plan to put out our Christmas decorations when we get settled into Sumter Oaks in Florida. We don't do a lot, especially outside but enough to make it feel Christmassy... Several inside decorations, some ornaments that hang in different spots, wooden reindeer, that kind of stuff. I still have my old Hallmark reindeer, similar to these, Rodney and Rhonda. Mine aren't plush, they have sandbag type legs and are floppy and I think they were named Ramona and  Rodney. Oh wait...I found a photo....mine are the two on the left!

We do have a big wreath that goes on the front of Freddie and we each have a stuffed animal that goes on our bikes. Stu has a little Dalmation with a wreath and I have a Kermit the Frog with a holiday stocking. I have a door hanger for outside and we'll put up our rope lights up. That's about it.

So what do you do for holiday decorations? We've seen rigs with huge displays and we have to wonder where they carry it all...and not just for one holiday but for several.

Not much else new...finishing up de-oozing our stuff for the move on Friday. Laundry done, stuff moved to the storage area, things put back where they belong...we should be ready to rock and roll!

I'm a BIG girl now....

I got weighed today and I am up to 17.5#....I'm a BIG girl now! Mommy and daddy tell me so all the time. I've been really good about ringing the bell to go outside...no accidents in quite a while.

I've tried using the bell to get some special attention, like when I want someone to play with me. Or when I want to go into the bedroom cause mommy's up there. But it's not working...they just keep taking me outside. Guess I'll have to try something else.

The wet stuff finally stopped falling from the sky but it's still cold out. Mommy gave me a nice warm bath tonight. She said I'm getting so big that the next bath will be in something called a shower. Not sure what that is... I try to be really good when I get a bath cause mommy always gives me a treat when we're done.

It's nice to be loved. Mommy and daddy talk about other pets that don't have homes. She asked me to please post some links so people can help them. So here they are!

This, that and the other....

Just a few rambling thoughts....

First, thank you to everyone on their comments about Mike and his battle with head/neck cancer. We had never heard of it either. Now I pay attention when I hear of a new diagnosis. In the past, there have been those in the news but it was a blip on my radar. Check it out here: http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/people/

Also, please do all you can to educate yourself and your loved ones. This cancer is most often caused by smoking or chewing tobacco...and the chances of getting it are greatly increased by drinking. http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/head-and-neck

Next, I had someone ask about sharing a link to my blog and specific posts. Yes, PLEASE share my blog or a specific post with anyone you feel might be interested. That is not a problem at all!

For those that like our "Grandfather Clock", here is the truth. That is actually the front to a little "hall" closet. The clock is real...a quartz battery clock. It comes standard on our rig. Sorry to disappoint anyone. LOL!

Thank you to everyone who has recommended an RV park or campground. Sometimes it works out for us, sometimes not. We have to watch size restrictions, pet restrictions, motorcycle restrictions. See why we like boondocking....NO restrictions. LOL! But don't stop sending them in...we check them all out.

I am still loving the plexiglas on my screen door. We put it on the inside so it does double duty, protecting the screen from Sadie's claws when she gets excited.

We're staying an extra day courtesy of the miserable weather that set in last night...rain, rain and more rain. Stu wants to get the last of the trash off the property and then we have our Carhartt jackets, a ladder and the handcart to put into storage. We have plenty of time to get to Atlanta so a one day delay is fine.

The movie TRON: Legacy will be out in a couple of weeks. Stu wanted to watch the original TRON again and I had never seen it. No problem...we'll get the DVD somewhere. Hmmm, all I can find are copies running close to $100. Not gonna do that! eBay, Amazon, Google searches...$60 is the cheapest. I did find it on NetFlix but really don't' want to start a membership just for that. So, anyone got a copy of TRON they'd be willing to loan out? LOL!

One last request, if you are a motorcyclist and have a blog, please either post a comment here with your blog address or email me (check my profile page). I'm trying to divide my blog reader a little further and want to move my motorcycle friends into their own group. Hoping this will make it easier to try to catch up with you on the road!!
