This piece has been going around the Internet for several years but I thought it worth reposting. A lot of humor and a little bit of truth. Enjoy!
Death is the number 1 killer in the world.
We aren't getting out of this life alive, so relax and enjoy it, regardless of the ride!
Life is sexually transmitted.
You may have to think about this one for a bit...LOL!
Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
Hmmm, true, but I'd rather have good health than not!
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to use the Internet and they won’t bother you for weeks, months, maybe years.
Unfortunately (or not), very true, but this is the price of progress.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in the hospital, dying of nothing.
This one makes me laugh - but still no excuse for not maintaining your good health (if you still have it).
All of us could lake a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.
I need to tape this one on my mirror so I read it every morning. For many years, I worried way too much about what other people thought of me.
In the 60s, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take drugs to make it normal.
Not so sure about this one...the world has always been weird to it's current occupants. And drugs aren't the answer, in most cases.
Don’t worry about old age: It doesn’t last that long.
Ah yes, back to "Death is the #1 killer in the world"!
Ciao for now!
Love this and you made me smile. I love the point about the internet (I'm guilty of being on there for hours on end!) and also Life is sexually transmitted! Thanks for sharing at #MLSTL. Have a great week!

DeleteSome great food for thought here! That last one may be more true than we realize as we keep living longer! Visiting from #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteThere is a nugget of truth in all of them...thanks for stopping in, Terri.
DeleteThanks for the smile. Can't imagine having a careless attitude about maintaining or achieving good health. I get frustrated when people say "You've got to die of something!" I intend to just lie down one day, hopefully in the distant future, fall asleep and not wake again. How 'bout you?
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie, hubby and I are working on our health (weight/exercise) even into our 70's. We've been a bit lax in the past but feeling great now. We both hope to just sleep and not wake, like you. Or if it has to be an accident, we want to go together! Thanks for stopping in to read and taking time to comment.
DeleteThat made me laugh - thank you! Couldn't watch the video. It says it's unavailable in our country (Australia) on account of copyright laws.
ReplyDeleteArgh, the video was Garth Brooks singing. Sorry it wouldn't let you view. When we lived in Ecuador for two years, we ran into that a lot!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
These made me smile - especially the one about the internet (because it's absolutely true) I feel like I spend wayyyyy too much time down the rabbit hole of the interwebbities!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at #MLSTL and I've shared this on my SM xx

ReplyDeleteI know, I'd seen it several times but wanted to inject my own comments. Thanks for the stop in!
DeleteHaha! I just read this somewhere else this week only without your 'asides'. Loved your take and I too raised an eyebrow of skepticism at some. I'm striving for a positive, healthy aging in spite of it all! :D
ReplyDeleteVisiting from #MLSTL and I'm going to share this on my SM. Thanks!

Thanks so much for visiting and sharing. I'm a bit behind in replying to comments - comes from having too many active blogs (hmmm, 4 or 5, lost count). LOL!
