Just a quick update...we made it to Grand Junction, CO yesterday without anything eventful. Nice ride, good weather and we made good time. We not so easily found our way into the Sam's Club and parked...not an easy feat either. LOL! We had a few groceries to pick up and Stu wanted to look at computers to replace his that went FUBAR during his upgrade to Windows 7.
In short work he was made the proud owner of a nice Dell laptop with a 17" screen, a 4GB memory and a 500GB hard drive. He spent most of last evening getting it configured and his data brought over from his backup drive. Still working on a few things...like whether or not to buy Outlook again. He is testing EssentialPIM, a product that I have used in the past and liked. We may both switch to that.
After the Sam's stop we headed across the street to Wal-Mart...again, not so easily. What is it with strange parking lots, one way exits and roundabouts? We circled around the building to the other side where we found parking for the night. We were told that Wal-Mart has no problem but there were city ordinances against it and if we were asked to leave during the night.... Well, it rained and we were spared. We picked up the last of our groceries and I got a haircut.
We spent a quiet evening, other than the trains running by once in a while, and today we will head towards Monument, CO where we will spend two weeks at Colorado Heights Camping Resort (a Coast-to-Coast affiliated park). Our mail will head out tomorrow and my new Kindle will arrive. WHOO-HOO!! I'm excited...
Anyway, just a quick update before we hit the road today.
Till next time - keep on rollin',
Donna & Stu

Jim is always commenting about crazy parking lots. The post office ones are always the worst.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Stu on his getting his laptop--I would be lost without mine.
