The trip down was uneventful after we picked up our missing solar braces and got things battened down. Partly cloudy day, good day to travel. The lot was ready for us, we pulled in and got settled in quickly.
Only one mishap...seems as though the flush hose for the black water tank became partially disconnected while dumping upon our arrival at our site. I walked inside to the sound of LOTS of water rushing...thought the shower was on. Looked....nothing. Looked down....water, LOTS of water!!! I threw down towels and hustled out to tell Stu. Six bath towels later and we had a nice clean floor (and two extra loads of laundry...LOL!) No major harm done...
As the sun set Stu called me outside to look at an unusual cloud formation. Looked like smoke with bubbles and I just had to snap a few shots. The sunset proved to be worth waiting for as well.
Tomorrow we drive to San Diego. We'll have dinner with good friends Bill & Dotty Metcalf...Bill is Stu's former partner and I had the pleasure of meeting him in Atlanta when we were all traveling. I look forward to meeting Dotty. In the morning we fly to Orlando where we will spend a week. Stu's annual retired firefighter reunion is 4 days and we plan to sightsee in Tampa the other three...maybe Sea World. Not sure.
Anyway, I suspect that I won't be blogging until we get back. Might toss out a quick post from the iPhone if I think of it. LOL! Oh, here are a couple of pics we took while hiking the Quartzsite desert...think you'll enjoy! Also the photo from the dinner meet we had on our last night in Q (the previous visit)
Till next time - keep on rollin',
Donna & Stu
That is a very unusual formation. Wish I was going to San Diego, too, but I have to go to Altanta for our "vacation" so I can see my granddaughter.
