More writing news!

I've just learned that my flash fiction story, The Taxi Ride, has been accepted for inclusion in the National Flash Fiction Day, May 16th 2012.

Stories will be displayed continuously for 24 hours featuring writers of all genres, flash fiction stories of 500 words or less. If you Twitter, the hashtags are #NFFD and #nationalflashfictionday.

My story is scheduled for display at 8 pm (BST) which converts to 3 pm (EST).

For those that don't know about flash fiction,  here is the definition from Wikipedia:
Flash fiction is a style of fictional literature or fiction of extreme brevity. There is no widely accepted definition of the length of the category. Some self-described markets for flash fiction impose caps as low as three hundred words, while others consider stories as long as a thousand words to be flash fiction.
I have fallen in love with writing flash fiction, participating weekly (when time allows) in Lillie McFerrin's 5 sentence fiction. You can see my stories here.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support...now back to working on my romance novel.

Till next time - keep on rollin',
Donna and Stu

  3. OK, now you have me really considering a try at "flashing" ...Den is encouraging me to do some REAL writing...I tend to lean towards making fun of just about everything...Not sure there is a market for that..Erma Bombeck did it best...But, I have been contemplating a childern's book..Heck, I never HAVE grown up!
