See, I TOLD you it wasn't me.....

I know sometimes I dig holes, especially if there is no or barely any grass. But I didn't dig the last couple mommy found. Honest! I tried to tell her as she gave me her "fish eye" face. Jeesh....

Then this morning Daddy came inside and told mommy that the holes outside weren't mine. Guess what....the ARMY PILLOWS did it! They invaded our yard and hunted for bugs last night. They dig funny little holes, big enough for my leg to get trapped and deep.

So what if I try to dig them deeper and wider....that's so mommy doesn't hurt her leg. Honest!!! Yeah, the army pillows did it....that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Now if someone wants to talk about my chewing off the dead palm fronds....[snicker]

Maybe I should check out a career in landscaping....

I couldn't belive my eyes - an Army Pillow!!!

Mommy and I were out walking last night...my parents always take me out just before we go to bed. I really like here in Florida, the flashlight shows up lots of little flying things for me to chase.

Once mommy stopped suddenly and I felt her shudder all the way through the leash! I looked in the light but all I saw was a pretty lacy thing with a nice big fat juicy bug in the middle. She muttered something about "darn spiders" and made me turn away. Jeesh!

We got almost back home and I saw something move quickly....mommy yelled out "bunny" as I chased it. But it wasn't a bunny. Mommy called it an army pillow...or something like that. It looked like a cat in armored ninja warrior gear! Here's a picture (not of the real one cause mommy left her camera in the house).

I really, REALLY wanted to get closer but he run under a trailer behind us and I couldn't get to him. I hope he'll be out again tonight! I want some armored ninja gear like that....Hai-YA! [snicker]

Looking forward to spring in TN

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

We left our property last November....cold and wet with snow arriving soon. It's now spring and for the first time we will be able to see our land in full color. We are excited and hope to catch some of the rhododendrons and possibly azaleas in bloom.

We are currently in Florida and plan to be in Tennessee around mid-April. We'll stay two months or so, hopefully getting the RV site completely set up. Time will tell...we're getting excited!

I found Fire Lily (Gloriosa Lily) bulbs on sale in several online shops but have found out that they will need to be potted if they are to live. Not going to be able to pop them in the ground and let them go. Oh well, someday we will have them there.

Still rolling,
Stu and Donna
