Today was moving day...a whole hour down the road...from southern Delaware to the eastern shore of Maryland...from one family driveway to another! We took our time getting ready to move, no need to rush. Rather than load my bike and the immediately unload it, I opted to ride my motorcycle.
We finally hit the road around 3ish.....just as the rain moved in. Yup, rained the entire trip, normally 45 minutes, in the rain more like an hour+. At one point there was even a little hail and several times the thunder and lightning was a bit more than I like. Fortunately it slowed a lot and was almost stopped by the time we arrived.
We got parked and I took off my my wet gear and helped us get settled in. As the evening wore on we let Sadie into the fenced yard with her older sister, Fiona. They had met when Sadie was little (2-3 months old) but we weren't sure if they would still get along. They did....here are a few dark photos....
...and one of the cleanup that was needed afterwards. LOL!
Tomorrow we take Sadie in for her check-up at the vets and get any shot updates she needs in preparation for her doggy camp stay. Someone asked about her new doggy camp. She'll be staying at Wye River Kennels, where they have divided indoor/outdoor runs as well as a multitude of outdoor pens where they can socialize and play. We'll also have lunch with a good friend before heading back home.
Till next time - keep on rollin',

Glad you had a safe moving day despite the rain, lightening and thunder. Have fun as you continue to get ready for the motorcycle ride later this week.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't into motorcycles, and we sure wouldn't enjoy riding in the rain and thunder and lightning and hail. But we're glad that you enjoy your bike so much! It must be a fun way to get around, and you do have a community that you enjoy! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you didn't follow Stu very close, as that rig has to kick up a wall of water behind it! And I don't care much for lightening and thunder either.......
