5/19/17: Celebrate the Small Things

Friday, May 19, 2017

It's Friday and time to post my Celebrate the Small Things on my blog. If you'd like to join in the fun or check out some other participating blogs, click the image to the right.

My small things for this past week:
  • We survived Stu's oldest daughter's outdoor wedding, rainy, temps in the mid-50's and WINDY. It was a great day!

  • We survived five days of babysitting three grandkids (well, today is the fifth day) without major incidents. It was a blast!

  • Stu survived being a chaperone to a group of 3rd graders, granddaughter Jesse's class, on a field trip to see the Shore Birds (baseball team) play.

  • I offered my book Home Again free for Mother's Day and it made the top ten for Young Adult Contemporary Romances during the week.
So all in all, a great week. Next week is my first cataract surgery. Eeek! I'm excited yet terrified. I know it will be fine, but it's MY EYES! LOL!

Ciao for now!

  2. Great surviving 3 grandkids. Now, you have to enlighten me as to how. We are taking 2 (8 and 11 y/o) for two MONTHS.

    1. Rules and consistency. Yours are close to the same ages of 2 of the 3. The youngest tried the hardest to get around the rules but Stu is very good at taking care of that. He also is great with fooling around with them and having fun. Me? Not so much...I take care of the household things when I can. LOL! Good luck!

    1. We are a multi-blended family so we have grandkids ranging from 3-30 and great grandkids ranging from "on the way" to 10. Phew! LOL! These were 9, 11 & 14.

  4. Congratulations on the wedding and on the 3rd grade class trip. That is such a cute age. (I taught 3rd grade for three years, although 6th grade was always my favorite. Good luck on your cataract surgery.

  5. Congrats to the bride! She must've been very cold in that dress though!) Yay for kids and baseball, and congrats on your bestselling book! Sending you many good wishes to get you through the operation and recovery with flying colors.

    1. She was freezing - as soon as the cake was cut and all the formalities were over, she changed into jeans and a sweatshirt. LOL! After all, it was her wedding.

  7. What a lot of great things to celebrate and the bride looks lovely - glad it all went well despite the weather! My dad's cataract operation has totally restored his eyesight to that of someone more in their 20s - absolutely remarkable!! So I'm sure you'll be grateful when it's all done - take care and enjoy your weekend :)
