Events and Epcot

One of the advantages of RVing is the ability to travel to special events. In the last four years, we've managed to get to several special events. Of course you know about the recent CMA Music Fest (and the one in 2009). We have done two National Folk Festivals [2008 - 2010], both in Butte MT...unforgettable experience.

We also do the annual Firefighter Reunion every February in Florida as well as try to make the annual Red Helmet Ride that ends at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD.

One of the most unusual was Punkin' Chunkin' in Bridgeville, DE. Talk about a unique experience, I definitely want to do that one more time....just hate being that far north that late in the year. LOL! Another fun one was the Maryland Renaissance Festival...got to do that one again, too.

Of course I can't mention events without mentioning the Gypsy Journal Rallies. We've been to both Yuma AZ and Elkhart IN and plan to make Celina OH this fall.

But the most important event of all was the Escapees Escapade, June-July 2008 in Gillette WY. Why? It's where we met!

What have been some of your favorite events of the past few years? Got any special ones you're looking forward to?

  2. Wish you two would do the Trail of Tears ride in September. Then you would come through my "neck of the woods"! Of course, I hope to be on the road by September... :-)

  5. We are currently at the RV Women National Conference in Gillette. Its great that we were going to be in this part of the country so we could go. First conference we've been able to go to since going on the road in '07 that coincided with our work schedule. It's great !
