Shopping in Cancun

Thursday, November 20, 2008

In some ways shopping in Cancun isn't all that different than the US. We hit the local Wal-Mart early on and picked up a few needed things. Right across from it was a Sam's Club. On the way there, we went by local bus, I saw many US chains from McDonalds to Applebees to Bubba Gump Shrimp and a lot more. That's not to say there aren't a lot of non-US restaurants & stores but I was surprised by the US presence.

Anyway, we took the bus to a mall to visit the local Harley dealer. I took a few photos of the mall and the Harley dealer. We found a Senor Frog's store and HAD to visit there as well. LOL!

The final blog will be our day trip to Isla Mujeres where we swam with the dolphins and then toured the market area.

Till next time - keep on rollin',

  1. Bienvenidos a Mexico, mi Amigos!

Welcome to Wexico! We are just North of Puerto Vallarta in a great RV Park. We will be heading over in your direction in a month or so to meet our son and his partner who are flying into Cancun in January.

Have a great time and have a couple of margaritas! Mexico is a beautiful country and the people are even better.

  2. Sorry Donna. My spelling in Spanish is better that it is in English.

  3. Donna and Stu!

We've missed you! Good to see you are having fun in our southern neighbor country.

If you ever head toward Benson, AZ, we'd be delighted to see you.

Happy Thanksgiving, even if you aren't in the good old USofA!
