Ahhh....the joys of riding!

Quick update....I am doing fine, no longer sick and headache is gone. Still have some bruises (knee & side of head are the worst). Yesterday I felt like myself again and got caught up on some reading and other little things. It was a good day to stay INSIDE since we had wind gusts over 40 mph. UGH!!

Today Doug & I headed to Parker for breakfast at a little cafe he knew about. Delicious! Everything was cooked just like I asked, if there was a downside it was the coffee - not the best I've had. I look forward to visiting again. Then we drove over the Colorado River into California, just to show me how close it was. LOL!

When we got back we unloaded both bikes. I did it all myself...well until I needed a push back since there was a large HUMP behind my rear tire. I took a quite turn around the area, not a problem. An hour later we went for a 40 or so mile ride. Again, no problems....now thinking that the transmission problem might have just been 1) the guys in Casa Grande messing with it trying to get it into neutral and 2) Doug's not being used to my back (and size since it's so low & squat). As to the starting...not sure, will just keep an eye on it. So for now, no plans to visit the dealer! YIPPEE!

On the ride Squirt earned his name....I was turning around in some soft gravel, the rear tire spun & slid a bit and he just SQUIRTED his way out of there. What amazed me is that my heartrate didn't even increase....wow!

Last note....my plans changed drastically yesterday. I had originally planned to go to Phoenix next, visit Camping World and take the bike into the BMW dealer. Instead I am now going to Tucson and attending the RV Life on Wheels conference. I can still visit the Camping World there if I want/need and now it looks like the bike doesn't need service. I do need to get an oil change on the Lily Pad though.

Well, almost time for the campfire here so will close for now.

Till next time - keep on rollin',

  2. Isn't fulltime RVing fun? You can change your mind and schedule just because you want to do it. Say "Hi" to the LoW people for me, please.

You do know about the untimely death of Dave Baleria, don't you? I don't know what they will do about the classes he and Sandy were scheduled to teach, maybe someone can substitute on some of them.

  3. Glad to hear you are feeling better and that the bike is working as it should.

If you go back to Parker, the China Garden restaurant is great, and both the Early Bird Coffee Shop and the Crossroads Cafe have good breakfasts. Since I like my coffee strong and hot, I've given up ordering coffee with my breakfast because the restaurant coffee never meets my standards. lol.
